Aviator Lens Technology

The science that makes every pair perform as beautifully as it looks

Born From Aviation. Built for the World.

In 1937, aviator sunglasses were designed for US Air Force pilots who needed maximum eye coverage at high altitude, where UV exposure is dramatically intensified. The teardrop shape covered the entire orbital area. The G-15 lens filtered the brightest wavelengths while preserving true colour perception.

Nearly 90 years later, the same core engineering principles guide every Aviator produced — combining proven optical science with the world's most recognised eyewear silhouette.

What's Inside Every Lens

UV400 Protection

All Aviator lenses block 100% of UVA and UVB radiation up to 400 nanometres — the complete harmful spectrum. Pakistan's high-altitude climate and intense summer sunlight make UV400 protection not a luxury, but a necessity for long-term eye health.

G-15 Classic Tint

The original Aviator lens. The G-15 designation refers to a grey-green tint that transmits approximately 15% of visible light — precisely calibrated to filter the harshest green-yellow wavelengths while delivering natural colour reproduction. No colour distortion, just clarity.

Polarized Technology

Our polarized Aviator lenses contain a molecular filter oriented vertically to block horizontally polarized glare — the blinding reflections off Karachi's coastal water, Lahore's roads and any reflective surface. The result: dramatically reduced eye strain and superior visual definition.

Mirror Flash Coatings

A thin metallic oxide coating applied to the outer surface of the lens reflects additional light for extreme-brightness conditions. Available in blue, green, silver and gold flash — the mirror coating is functional as much as it is fashionable, reducing overall light transmission.

Impact-Resistant Glass

Classic Aviator lenses are crafted from optical glass — not plastic. Glass provides superior scratch resistance, better optical clarity and a more natural feel. Each lens undergoes drop-ball testing to meet international impact standards, delivering safety without compromising clarity.

Gradient Lens Options

Gradient lenses are darkest at the top — blocking intense overhead sunlight — and lightest at the bottom, allowing comfortable vision when looking down at instruments, a menu, or the road. Ideal for driving and outdoor social settings across Pakistan's varied terrain.

Precision in Every Component

The Aviator frame is constructed from a lightweight metal alloy — traditionally monel, an alloy of nickel, copper and other metals — chosen for its combination of strength, flexibility and corrosion resistance. The double bridge design distributes weight more evenly, reducing nose pressure during long wear.

Bayonet-style temples — straight earstems that hook over the ear — were originally designed to fit under pilot helmets. This practical feature remains one of the reasons Aviators are comfortable for all-day wear.
